La Aurora seldom disappoints, so when it does, it’s quite a let-down.
Even after a month in my humidor, even though other cigars placed there at the same time seemed fine, even with a near perfect reading (70/71) on my hygrometer, the La Aurora Cameroon Double Corona seemed hell-bent on unraveling: first at the foot, and before long I was left with no wrapper at all! That’s when this stick began to resemble an Outlaw or Backwoods style smoke.
The burn was uneven throughout.
In the spirit of “if you can’t say something nice,” I should mention that this cigar does offer a smooth taste, and that the overall, “big picture” experience resulted in a good smoke.
Bottom line, no one can be perfect all the time. I still love you, La Aurora. But this smoke was the ‘rough’ in an otherwise ‘field of diamonds’ put out by this factory.
