Having met Señor Bello outside his Calle Ocho shop in the Little Havana district of Miami, Florida, I had high hopes for this stick. Sadly, the experience I had dreamed of was not to be.
The construction is rough and brittle. The long-filler is full of ‘twigs.’ Though pleasant notes of earth and cedar begin this smoke, they are soon overshadowed by a harsh spice; an overkill that hangs on to the nub.
The light is quick, the burn middle-of-the-road and the draw smooth. Unfortunately, the good qualities of this cigar are not enough to mask the bad.
